STEFANO GNOFFO

Italy Born in Palermo 1950; although in the main Stefano is a self-taught artist he has learnt much from local masters and direct observation. His first exhibition of note was a group show in a gallery of fine art in Rome. This was at the age of 17 years. Despite the lack of encouragement from his family, Stefano could not ignore his deep passion for painting. While attending classical studies he continued to paint at every available opportunity, taking part in many group shows, and finally having his first solo exhibition in 1997- promoted by the art critic Francesco Carbone. From this Stefano has gone from strength to strength and in the last year exhibited in Padvova Art Fair and Florence "le sembianze Della Metafora" with the art critic Francesco Lisri.
