Handblown Glassmaker.rnThomas Petit has created his range of handblown/formed studio glass over many years. He is influenced by a broad spectrum of arts weather it is his own photography, nature or everyday sights and objects. Sometimes it can be a happy accident that creates the best selling ranges. Thomas's sea shore ranges depict six variations of abstract coastal, beach and seascapes with various skies and backgrounds. Many created from childhood memories of walks across the South downs and pebbled beaches fro East Sussex where he grew up. Passing under the white chalky cliffs the grass often leads straight onto multi coloured pebbles which in turn lead down to the waves rolling in from the channel. Each piece of this range will be sandblasted, which like the sea and wind of the enchanting region have eroded the surface of the pebbles revealing colours and patterns beneath.
